upyCraft IDE installiert auf Linux - Port nicht sichtbar?!

hallo und guten Abend,

hab die upyCraft IDE installiert - auf einer MX-Linux und will nun diese 
einsetzen. Ich hab einen ESP8266 über eine USB-Leitung angeschlossen.

Aber - und das ist das merkwürdige -ich sehe keinen com-port.

Ich frage mich - woran das liegen kann,

ps - ggf. sollte ich hier noch mehr machen - um dann das zum Laufen zu 
bringen:  und ja: es würde mich schon sehr wundern wenn diese 
debian-basierte Sache bei mir  nicht auf MX zum Laufen kommen sollte?!

    create a virtual env:
    1. CD to the location where you want to create your virtual 
environment
    [RUN]: python3 -m venv myVirtEnv
    2. To activate the environment
    [RUN]: source myVirtEnv/bin/activate
    2.a If you don’t create a virtual environment, the uPyCraft v1.0 
will break a libz package that is old. Seems there is more risk in 
breaking your OS by downgrading that package.
    3. Follow the steps here:

wenn ich dann versuche hiermit weiterzumachen bekomme ich einen Fehler 
gemeldet:

available. On Debian/Ubuntu systems, you need to install the python3-venv
package using the following command.

apt-get install python3-venv

You may need to use sudo with that command. After installing the python3-venv
package, recreate your virtual environment.

ich hab  die Pakete noch installiert - jetzt geh ich das alles nochmals 
durch und guck ob ich die damit verbundenen Schritten einfach noch 
einmal mache u. dann zu dem ziel komme,.
